Not counting HSV stuff as they are made to drive, just the run of the mill "Holden". I loved my V2 CV8 to drive and until the VF I hadn't driven a better Holden. I had driven G6E BF's that were as nice, but didn't have the LS1's go. I'm still yet to find a car that I could drive for as long as the V2, with that car you'd drive until you had to put fuel in and get out feeling great. If I do the same with my 2011 SR5 Hilux or Lexus RX350 you get out stiff as a board, not as much with the Lexus though. For this exact reason I bought some seats out of a wrecked V2 CV8 that was written off when it was 15,000kM old, for fitment into one of my HK's.
Yes well that's the point, a drivers car ? regardless of the law.
I had a 928 Porsche and boy was that a real drivers car, it entices you to drive the car hard and fast and you can do it for long distance with out feeling buggered, the same can be said of some road bikes not to mention dirt bikes, because you are not struggling with the bike, she works with you ? you feel comfortable in doing it, now I have once driven a Datsun Homer and my arse was not touching the seat at times and I was flat to the boards at 100KM/H and on the edge of being out control, driving beyond limitations of sanity, but I was with in the limits of the Law.
Once one comprehends the workings of what geometry has to offer a whole new world is at your door, just look at the rear suspension of a 928 Porsche and then go look at the rubbish that the VF Commodore or last Falcons have, the Penny drops.
I use to ride 500KM to see a girl friend and old mates in the 90's on a Kawasaki ZX10 I would cruise up their Friday after work directly but 240KM/H was the normal easy comfortable speed to get their and jump off feeling great and start drinking, like the trip was nothing, but to sit on the speed limit all that way that was a real pain, my arse would get sore and it was boring as dog shit.
I road a old Z900 for 100km and I was buggered, the difference in one thing to another can be just amazing.
Look at the old HK 327 GTS HT-G GTS 350 Monaro's what great cars they were in there day, but a V8 Commodore Monaro is a much better car over all, but them old Monaro's have there points as well that we admire about them.
