Thought since it has been very quiet I'd ask a few more trivia questions. I've thrown in a couple of random non-GMH related ones too.
Dr Terry, please add a few more of your own to this thread if you can think of a few.

Q1. How many GMH regular production models (use model codes (eg HQ 80280) and if applicable package codes (eg XU1, XX7 etc)) made or assembled in Australia for use on Australian soil, were fitted with proper Chevrolet made engines (engine made in a Chevrolet engine plant)? Unless you know the answer (which I doubt anyone will) ignore the pre 1970 Chevrolet/Pontiac cars and trucks and Bedford trucks, as there are too many models in these to get right and so many variances in engine origins. Read the question closely, and also ignore one off or special order or internal stuff like 350 powered Brougham etc.

Q2. What HZ models (+ where applicable package codes or if you don't know it the name) was the sports steering wheel standard or optional (factory fitment only)?

Q3. What HX and HZ models (+ where applicable package codes or if you don't know it the name) could PE1 wheels (14x7 polycast) be optioned on? I only did HX-HZ as HJ gets too confusing.

Q4. V7H is a HZ special vehicle package code. The component options are N71, QED and A31. What is it? N71 is 14x6 wire wheels. QED is FR78S14 4ply steel radial tyre and tube. A31 is power side windows.

Q5. What movie starred Ben Affleck, Hilary Swank, Seth Green and Luke Perry? No cheating!

Q6. What was the first HQ series engine number?

Q7. When did W size (HQ-WB) ute and van have the rear tonneau floor extension corner pieces changed from "welded" to "glued with 2 x screws"? To the nearest start of year or half year eg "start of 1977" or "mid 1972". This change was to make it easier to access for re-work to replace missing or damaged body mounting rubber/washer assembly (rear body mounts).

Q8. - What three "Holdens" essentially broke the mould with the existence of a 6cyl engine (standard or optional) on a vehicle badged as SS?

Will think of some more later.

ANSWERS AS THEY COME IN POST 13 OF THIS THREAD (near the bottom of page 1)

I think only the early HK 327 and last of the HG GTS 350 were Chevrolet engines, as the rest were made in Canada so not truly a Chevrolet engine one may say.

20 too many by my reasoning. See my answer to Castellan's post below.

There is 8 x models or model+package code where the sports wheel is standard or optional. You have covered two of them: SL/E (8WT69+V7J) and GTS. Note: Sandman isn't a model.

You are on the right track and got one of the 9 with the earlier HK GTS327. The HG you mention is technically wrong but not necessarily so, so I didn't include it in the 9 (it does have a Canadian engine but the technicality lies elsewhere).

Yes, correct for V7H: Deville 'Champagne Special' vehicle package. Option codes get re-used once they are no longer applicable, hence why V7H re-appears. XU3 used to be neutral headlining, and became Sandman later. L34 was the 327 engine in HK and got re-used for the LH Torana.

Q6 - the question means the 1st HQ engine number series engine, ie the first production engine. Not what went into the pilot or proto HQ.

So far answers given as correct are:

Q1 - There are 9 by my count, and Castellan answered 1, HK81837. gm5735 gave the next 7: HT81837, HG81837, HQ81237, HQ81837, HQ80469 XW8, HQ81469, HQ81669. justgm gave the last one, HQ81469+XU7 (or 84669).

Q2 - I count 8 HZ models or model+package codes. wbute answered 2: HZ 8WQ69 (GTS) and HZ 8WT69 V7J (HZ SL/E). Answer is: 8WQ69 (GTS sedan), 8WM80+XU3 (Sandman ute), 8WM80+XX7 (Sandman ute with passenger tyres), 8WM70+XU3 (Sandman van), 8WM70+XX7 (Sandman van with passenger tyres), 8WT69+V7J (HZ SL/E), 8WP35 and 8WP69 (HZ Premier wagon and sedan, after 1/78 you could option the sports wheel on these).

Q3 - There are by my count 6 x models, but some are common between HX and HZ so total models are 11 I believe. wbute answered 1 of 11 (or 0.5 of 6 if we common up the same model code between HX and HZ): HZ GTS ie HZ 8WQ69. Answer is: 8WM69, 8WN69, 8WP69, 8WQ69, 8WS69 and 8WQ37 (HX only).

Q4 - Answered by justgm, V7H is Deville 'Champagne Special' vehicle package.

Q5 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Q6 - Answered by 8D11PCH2: QD1001.

Q7 - Approved on 26/11/74, issued for production on 2/4/75. So mid 1975 would be the closest to correct answer.

Q8 - wbute gave LX SS, that is one of the three. Sandaro gave the other two: VP SS with optional V6 and VT SS with optional supercharged V6.
