Cons-Generally I say don't mix business with pleasure. Blur the lines and what do you do when they don't pay the rent? Their response in the tenancy tribunal would make interesting reading. Provided services instead. What if they say you're in a relationship and want a piece of your investment property?
Pros-I'm guessing your new tenant is hot. Try tinder/lots of fish etc less complicated

Speaking of Rub and Tug, I had a laugh the other day. Stopped in Warners Bay to go to Coles and walked past the Thai Massage joint on the way in. On the door it said something like:
Massage only. No extras. No happy ending. Please stop asking.
Made me laugh at the time. Poor buggers though trying to run a serious business. |

When I was in Qld recently for work, a rep I was with took me down the road for lunch. I noticed 4 hairdressers in that 1 small suburban shopping centre. Due to the competition, they were discounting against each other - a bloke's haircut was $15, when it's normally $25-35 here.
I asked the local guy how they all managed to stay in business and pay the rent, as none looked to have any customers waiting. His reply - that one's known as the local drug supply, so he must make his money that way, and that one there is only a front for a "happy endings" out the back. I didn't ask how he knew that.... |
