Can you fit 3.36 gears into a 2.6 housing? I knew there were differences in Banjo housings but I am not a HQ to WB Salisbury expert.

yes.. but you need the centre hemisphere (open or LSD) from the 2.60 axle
NOT the one that the 3.36 gear set was on

As above. 2.6 and 2.78 share a hemisphere and the 3.08 to 4.44 another. I have heard though that if fitting 4.44 gears to another housing that sometimes removal of a bit of casting from the housing is required.
