Hey fellas,
Im only 17 and have recently bought my first project car I have Bought a HZ One tonner which needs a bit of body work, I am wanting to put a single headlight HQ front end onto my HZ and i am just wondering if I needed to change any panels to hq. I guess i'm just asking if all I will need to change is nose clip and rad support.

Is it a standard HZ cab-chassis or an Ambulance pack? Standard HZ cab-chassis used the same front panels as a HQ so the bonnet lines up with the cowl. Ambulance pack ran a HZ Premier front so has a different cowl to suit the HJ-WB bonnet.
If you have a standard HZ cab-chassis cab all HQ front panels bolt on, however if you are planning on running a normal HQ front bar (not a cab-chassis one) you will need the later HQ headlamps with the park lamps that shine through a clear circle in the glass and Amber blinker lenses. You’ll have to do some fiddling with the HZ harness to make it operate the in-bar indicators if you aren’t running the standard cab-chassis indicators. |
