Hi first time user here just need some help with tags so here is my issue I’ve bought a hq tonner It only has the skinny 14 number and letter tag on it The other 2 were lost in the process of painting it so I was told so I didn’t think this was goin to be to big of issues I’ll just get new ones made and it will be sweet but reading some other stuff on the net about rebirths and that has me a bit worried now the seller did have photos of all tags so is this a big deal or not really

If the car is cheap enough and needs no money spent then just leave it and use it. But I wouldn’t spend any further money on it as it will always be devalued missing tags. Post up its numbers ie the VIN off the tag and it’s chassis number off the rail and it will be obvious if they are original together. If you have a photo of the missing tags I’ll be able to tell you if they were right for the remaining VIN tag too. |

Yes there are a few people in Australia that have no issues with stamping up these tags and it is a pity their relevant police forces do nothing to shut them down.

Yeah cheers for your help I have also read that if you have all the info you can get a from or something like that to say yes there is no tags but this can is Legit although there is no tags is that correct

With these pre 1989 vehicles the registration authorities don't care about the Body ID Plate or the long skinny VIN Tag only the Compliance Plate.

Ok sweet I do have the previous registration paper so that not a issue I not planning on selling it I just wanted to have all the info in order and that just in case I ever had to sell for some reason cheers for everyone’s help
