I know 4L60E was the main auto trans for VY.II Crewman, but I found info that VY.II Crewman SS were equipped with 4L65E.Actually? What are the differences between 4L60E and 4L65E? 4L65E for higher torque, but Commodore SS had a 4L60E. Is it possible to fit 4L65E to VY.II Commodore SS? Any advantages?

Wiki says: An updated 4L60E, the 4L65E (RPO M32), was phased in the 2001 model year when coupled behind the 6.0 Vortec. Five-pinion front and rear planetaries, along with an additional 3/4 clutch allowing 7 clutches in the input housing and induction hardened input shaft assembly, were improved to withstand up to 380 ft⋅lb (520 N⋅m) of torque.
I’m pretty sure all auto Commodore, Statesman, HSV and Holden with 6.0L had a 4L65E. Plus the heavier duty 5.7L applications just prior like On Tonner, Crewman etc. |

Yeah. The 4L65E was an upgrade as HK1837 has described. It appeared in many HSV & AWD Holdens, as well as One Tonners & Crewmans from VY onwards.
AFAIK they were interchangeable, meaning a 4L65E should be a bolt-in replacement behind a VTII LS1 5.7.
