Hi guys, ive been using this place for a while to get info and help so i thought i'd tell ya about my car and ask for some advice.
I've got a vh sle that i am almost finished building. New silver slate paint, vx ss alloys, slotted brakes, rebuilt trimatic, 308 40thou over, balanced flat top pistons, arp rods and rod bolts, king bearings, 70/30 cam with valve train to match, ported and polished heads with oversized valves, ceramic coated pacemakers with a twin 2 1/4 into a single 2 1/2 mandrel bent system with a straight through muffler.
We started it the other day and the engine runs perfectly, but i am having a problem with the speedo. Its got a new cable but the needle is very jumpy when you accelerate. will fluctuate around 5km/h the whole way through its range instead of rising and falling steadily. Has anyone encountered this before and are able to help me out with it?
