Here's my pride & joy a 73 Bathurst homolgation XU-1. Tangerine in colour the car is 1 of the 150 specially built xu-1's and were the last batch of XU-1's made. My car has it's original JP block/head and is unique because of the interior trim being doeskin/chesnut instead of the usual black. The car was ordered thru Bob Janes Melbourne dealership and was used as a promotions vehicle before being sold in Oct 73. Still fitted with original Globe sprintmasters. Your right about it being "worth a few bob now"...If the right offer came along I may consider selling. If your pockets are deep and know what these cars are and will be worth in the future ..you never know.
PS: Ive previously said no to an offer of 125K (b4 brockie passed)

your car is only a RESTORED car. its probly worth 60 - 70k TOPS (whats it insured for??)

I think its time you grew up "Honest John".You are obviously a very petty jealous person who is most probably a dreamer and can only stoop to personal attacks upon others. For you info the car is insured thru Shannons for 150K...and Im thinking of upping it.

nice color nice trim what a car the xu1s are,honest john has no idea on prices of xu1s i have a 11/72 zodiac met matching number xu1 halfway through restoring it ijust need a pair of doors worth more than $125000 a fully restored xu1 sold for $120000 3 MONTHS AGO honest john do your research mate

Hi,
Yes I saw the Lone O Ranger (orange) car go for the 143K....I often wonder what my car is worth if I ever decided to sell it. Who knows if an offer came along I couldent refuse...but I dont need to sell and I just love taking it on drives....its just a real little beast.

1 went through Shannons auctions it was a 72 and sweet , that sold for 147k Yours is 200k plus easy !!!! Dont sell that car you will kick yourself if you do ,, Nice ride
