is this 4.8 km per litre on gas??? if so maybe had a vacumm leak at carby or mounting, so it was lean now fixed, so using more gas????
if it is on lpg the carby is only a throttle and wont effect the mixture, it would be convertor/mixer.
pete.

yes this is 4.8 km per litre on gas....I had it dynoed only 5 months ago on old carb......hence my surprise at comparison. I thought on average a 308 should do 5.5 km per litre on a trip.....it used to do slightly more....when dynoed he checks for leaks and adjusts carb mixer.
Whole carb was replaced mainly because shaft was too worn and caused idle to go up and down.

I run a Sprint gas setup on a 253, it gets me 6-6.6km/ltr depending how I drive it or tune the LPG, its up to you, you can tune it for performance and get a little less, or tune it leaner and lose the fun. Personally if I had the dosh, Id T700 wot I got and get8 maybe 9 with a 3.08 Ration diff. There are ways to have your cake and eat it too.
