Hi Guys, Out of curiocity, how far can you stroke a 307 chev? Many people would be saying why bother. But if you wanted to keep the car as standard as possible on the outside, but twick the internals for a bit more grunt.
Also, I have heard the 307 have plenty of meat to bore them out to 4" bores. This alone would make a 307 into a 327ci but this could be pushing the bores to the max!

People have been making Aussie 307s into 327 and 350 for years by boring them to 4". The one in my mates Monaro ran for 12 years as a 350 with 4.030" bores. Used to run 12s on street tyres and a manual and copped a flogging. I had one in a Landcruiser at 4", gave it heaps too (like wheelstanding and 4WD burnouts). By puting a 3.75" stroke crank in them you can get them out to 377 cubes.
However, I also ask why bother, when using a proper 4" bore block is a less risky process. Id only do it in say an LH Torana when you wanted to stay under 5L, but even then you could just use a 4" bore SBC and regsiter it as a 302 (same block as a 327 or 350).
