Does a VS Commodore that cam from the factory with a B/W live rear axle have the mounts in the floorpan for I.R.S as well?
If so, is this the same for other models?

No they dont unfortunately. IRS & live axle cars are unique under the rear floor.
You can cut & shut all the mounts if you really want to, but youll need an accurate jig to align it all. Only 2 cars I know of that have had it done successfully to completion - a VQ rear into a VK (something different for a car that had everything else done) and a VS wagon with a VS stato IRS rear under it. I spotted that one over near Peakhurst (NSW) and was told that the owner guy wanted to make a stato wagon like a factory one would have been.
In case you do consider it, youll need the front K0frame mounts, the diff hanger, the unitary crossbrace in front of the fuel tank, different tank straps, and rear brake lines.
Hardly worth it these days - buy a car with the rear end you want.

Thanks for that info. I thought that would be the case. Yes, I will look for the correct car. Cheers!
