hi dudes i have just wrecked out a hq wagon
as i was pulling it apart a have found that it has a
fuel tank stone guard protector it seens to been on
there since it was made is this a optional part
as all my other holdens i have do not have that on them
so as all i want to know is it worth anything

Hi Mate, part of what they called a "country pack" item. It varies between models what you got. Part of this option was a tank protector. Some are the same shape as the bottom of the tank or are a bash type plate over the bottom, but spaced out 5-10mm. They did not work that well as small rocks would get jammed between the cover and tank, and next time you hit something hard, the rock would put a hole in the tank.
I would say it would be a rare item now days. Saw one on a HR sedan (ex state emergency vehicle) and one on a HK Monaro.
Would be woth some $ to the right person.

one was on ebay about 3 weeks ago, didnt sell at $20, I wouldve bid but the cost to ship is getting to restrictive. + its easy to reproduce, just cut up a old tank.
