Gday, Last week i changed my motor in my HZ from a Blue 253 to a blue 308 from a WB statesman with all the go fast bits. When i was running the 253, my speedo was out already, for 100km speed limit i would travel along at 91, and for 60km i would drive at 55. I had driven it for years like this and i got used to the speed limits and the speed as showing on my dash.
When i changed motors, it now seems like when the speed limit it 70km then my speedo says 30-35km.
I am assuming its the speedo cable into the gearbox being the wrong colour. What are the differences? and what colour should i need to change mine to?
Thanks in advance
Nathan

Speedo ga is determined by the diff ratio and wheel size.

thanks Warren. i thought there were different colour cogs that go into the gearbox? or is this what you mean? Wheels are 14" with standard diff for hz premier, think its 2.78, pretty sluggish on take-off anyway. Nathan
