if you read my comments again, this time properly and even better if you read them before puttin down 6-7 long necks, you will see that i was thinking and stating along the same lines, and that was to get it and cut it up and sell the 40yr old fatigued metal to someone like yourself..who will put it to good use..it aint worth $3k, but thats what you may certainly get or maybe not get for it..

In my opinion $3,000 would of been a good buy IF you were chopping it. If you were restoring it, maybe not. Spend $15,000 on a neat GTS.

im a staunch GM man, even my phone number is all GM eng numbers, but im a realist, and as much as i dont like it, ford in OZ have the only true muscle cars, and when it comes to HK-T-G values and what people think they are worth, i love argueing the myth of the HK value, rubbing them up and then running away leaving them grumbling like mutely..hahahahahah

hey we wreck i dont post a lot on here m8 but i agree with you that monaros are way over priced!! i love my hk gts monaro its the car i wanted as a kid now i have it im as happy as a pig in s***!! i got offered a 6 figue sum for it after the last nationals and i said no!! to all my friends amazement i said guys i love my hk and no way could i sell it and anyway there is no way they are worth that sort of money!! but its an australian car that i grew up with and i love it !! just as much as you love your yankee stuff!!
Bullit, with due respect I disagree. If someone legitimately offered you a 6 figure sum for your car, then you are in a position to state that its worth that much! Much more so than almost every other person who claims a value on their car. In my opinion what anything is worth is what people are willing to pay for it. That includes Falcons as Frank often points out, ie the primary reason they are worth more than many others is because there are people out there parting with big $ for them (for whatever reason that is).
