Hey Guys havnt been on the sight for a while still in the middle of moving states so have a lack of internet access, looks good !

This is a question on a 350 holly but its on a Ford :-( I have not looked at a holly for about 20 years now so 2 questions..........

Its a new holly brought over the net and fitted to alloy head 4.1 runs ok under normal driveing but stutters on hard acceleration so Im thinking either to much or not enough fuel. Maybe power valve but cant remember the size needed for a 4.1 or float level but cant remember how to adjust. Any other suggestions and descripions on how to fix/adjust please as all my referance books are 1850ks away in storage !!

Need to help Dave out here as he has a 30 foot van he wants to tow and he also drives the limo at the club that takes me home lol.

Thanks in adjance for all help and suggestions, Bary.

It a Holly and they fit Holdens, gee even I know that.

Lets try for some sensible answers hey.

If my memory serves me correct power valave should be 6 for a 202 and 6.5 for a 250, there is usually an inspection hole on the side of the Holly that the fule level should come up to??? If I remember correctly........................

Is the excellerator pump adjusted properly and is it providing enough of a squirt of fuel when you hit the pedal if not you might want to put an overhaul kit through it.
What size jets have you got in it

As far as adjusting the float level go to the Holley site and theres instructions for all things like that. From what I remember un do the screw on the side of the carby, now get hold of a bladed screw driver and a spanner to fit the nut on top of the bowl, start the car and the fuel should just trickle out of the hole on the side of the carby. If not loosen the screw slightly on top of the bowl while you have the spanner on the nut,Im fairly sure turning the nut clockwise will lower the level and anti clockwise to raise level. After adjustment tighten the screw on top of the nut again while holding the spanner on the nut.
