Cable shift turbo 350 to turbo 400 linkage shift

Hi All Im putting a turbo 400 into a HZ SLE Statesman which was fitted with an original turbo 350 cable shift. I dont really want to cut the floor out to fit in the 400 is ther a kit or brackets that can be bought to do so any help would be great Thanks. Greg.

HX & HZ Statesmans with a TH400 also used the cable shift. You might be able to procure the correct linkage bits 2nd hand or modify the ones you have currently.

Cable shift it the easy option. The gearbox end (certainly for the B&M etc shifters) with just bolt patterns possibly a little different. The gear selector lever on the gearbox should be a straight swap, then it is a case of getting the cable bracket bolted onto the 400 trans pan.

Thanks for the info . I have got the change linkage for the T400 it came of the T350 but the backet off it is not in the right position it needs to be higher up and closer to the pivot .Any idea where I mite find one? Thanks Greg

Ebay?..Wouldnt a B&M one work?.. I put a t400 in my HQ van but used a linkage shifter.Incidentally I also had a trimatic shifter(passenger side linkage)and they looked the same (side by side)but I still went with the one I got with the box. Hi to all again had a bit of luck GOOD for a change I located the bracket I needed believe it or not through my local GMH dealer he located it in Naracoorte should be in tomorrow Thanks again Greg
