is it ok to run in the cam on a rebuilt motor & then leave it for a couple of months ? or am i better off waiting until i`m ready to use the car ?

Hi Jayson,
If the motor has been rebuilt recently most of the parts will be well lubricated. If you wait the oils will drain back, and make the start up after say 6 months a little dry (esp rings). Considering a new cam needs to be run hard for 10 mins, the car needs to start and run first go. So, I would run it hard now, bed the cam in, get it hot and hardened. Waiting some months, may make the start harder, and may not do the cam any good.
