Just want to know if all 308/304 cranks are interchngable, can a rope rear main crank be used in a neoprene block and vice versa?

308 and 304 cranks are interchangeable but they also use different pistons due to the different stroke. Bugger all difference in stroke though! A rope rear main crank can be used by machining the seal journal down to the neoprene size. Other way around no go. I have heard of people using I think a VN V6 seal to achieve one of the swaps though, others here may know more.
