I bought a copy from the national motor museum in Birdwood SA with RAA discount it was $56.00, I like the book particually with the SS part in it for myself.
Some ebay scammers want $99. for this book !

Fare go boys, GMH like any other company had a lot of dead wood in there ranks, ive had over 100 Holdens and still have 2 and 4 in the family, they are all great if maintained well, and i dont even look at speedo.

Know this is a bit late BUT we had a HQ COUPE LS that was Built in Adelaide. The book says there are No early HQ Coupes and mine was a late 73

years back I was going to buy a LS coupe from a mate is was a Nov 71 from memory.

Greetings, That is interesting. You possibly had a car that does not officially exist. It is a well known fact that HQ Coupes were only made in Melbourne and Sydney and by late 73 only in Sydney.

Built by someone during a resto in Adelaide long after it left the Sydney or Melbourne plant of course! They don't exist. End of story.

Is it still available? I thought it would have sold out ages ago as it is a great picture book on the Monaro. The technical stuff needs a major revamp to get it to the standard of the pictures and brochures though.

Norm had a few left at Toranafest in September. I particularly like the picture top left page 89. Sort of hints and/or answers the HQ's real origins. The revamped book will be the one to have though.
