Manual GTS in Warwick yellow. I wonder if it was a 6cyl or 307? I think this has been through Ebay before. Someone trying to sell some tags by attaching them to an old HG body.

I found another one the other day (seems to be pulled now though)

It was an ad for a red panel van (HJ or HX) which was not a sandman but a genuine GTS panel van.

Of course it was rare.

Had to laugh - but its gone now, maybe someone fell for it.

I am not allowed a mistress so i got a GTS - and its better
A GTS/4 is a monaro - so nuuur

Its been pulled.

Funny thing about HK GTS tags, they would only be put on a car by someone trying to get more money for their 337.

In my dealings with NSW RTA and QLD DOT re my HK they were only interested in the firewall stamp and the engine number.

Wonder if a "lets go right back into the archives" type computer dump from all the state rego authorities would stop this sort of activity?

Is there any way to tie HK body numbers and tags to each other? from what Ive read HKs were never matching numbers and there are no factory records to show which body number went with which tag.

You can tell if they dont go together, but cannot tell for certain if they do (recent faked log books put paid to the log book verification method). This is no different to any other HK through to VL though, ie you cant tell for certain that the ADR plate (hence chassis number) belongs with the other plates.

Thanks Byron, unfortunately some people will always try to exploit legal loopholes and oversights.

So its Caveat Emptor as far as purchasing desirable cars goes.
