just wondering, if anyone else has noticed the major holden dealers putting clubsport body kits on their ve luminas and jacking the price up as rebadged vehicles eg ppv (penrith performance vehicle) and how that effects old mate whom has just went and spent 70k on a genuine ve clubsport? would you be P#@SSED?

This has been going on for years, there have been many 2nd hand dealers around Australia dressing up 2nd hand Commodores with HSV look-a-like body kits & selling them with odd names. However putting a body kit on a V6 Lumina should worry an HSV owner, unless they purchased their car only because of its body kit. Little things like a 317 kW V8 along with brake, suspension & trim upgrades is what makes an HSV. I personally think that some HSV body kit additions are verging on the ugly side, but they go, stop & handle great. i agree with the DOC, i always thought that the best way to destroy a late monaro monaro, was to give it to HSV, just look at some of the coupes...bordering on obscene

The standard Holden CV8 couple looks much nicer than any of the HSV version.

hopefully you mean the EARLY CV8 coupe looks much nicer than any of the HSV version. later cv8s and the hsvs started to look a little busy. i do love the devil yellow GTS coupes anyway though!

The CV8 remained clean in style right through. It was only the CV8-Z that got the additional bits like the front bar that looks like a VE SS-V, and the bonnet vents, that spoilt the near-perfect original Simcoe design.
