Can anyone tell me what the differences would be in the HX van shell compared to the WB van shell?

Ive looked over the 2 and it looks to me that it "may" be different in the tail light housings and and "possibly" the metal pressings for the dash.

I've done all the usual searches but can't find any real info on this

As above plus twin clutch pedal pivots under the dash. Seat mounting holes in different locations. There are a couple of firewall differences too but I cannot recall exactly what.

tailight housings is only no holes for the pins of the tailight surround.
no repeater lights in quarter.
clutch pedal pivots and another couple of brackets under dash where wiring goes..
wiper washer squirters in plenum chambers.there is an extra hole for something else that byron is refering to but it escapes me right now..

i have just finished doing a conversion on a wb van back to hj to z style and we also found it was easier to use all the wiring and column from an earlier model which for us was hx for ease of mating litle things in the wiring..

Thanks for the responses fellas.

This gives me more to work off now but I do have a couple more questions now.
Does the HX dash mount straight into the WB?
Is the clutch pedal different to accomodate the full cable clutch (which I was contemplating converting to anyway)?
Oz Wreck did you have to make mods to take the HX seats?

HX dash will go straight in but wiring harness is different in a few areas eg reversing lights.

V8 setup is interchangeable for clutch pedal but 6cyl isnt, although you can put a 6cyl HX clutch setup in a WB using the bottom pivot hole but not vice versa.

i think the seat mounting positions are the same - even for the WB kingswood.

your probably building a replica or something,

also WB scuff plates are different.
WB has 4 holes, HJ-Z have 5

WB bonnet different too - strictly speaking

In my experience you are right Adam, ie all WB floors are the same. I think the spacing between the outside holes is the same so the benches are the same, but bucket seat hole spacing is different ie inner holes are closer to the outside holes in WB.
I forgot about the scuff plates. I remember trying to put chrome HQ ones on my dads WB van in the 80s and the holes dont line up.

Yes and no. The hole in the firewall should be there for the cable, and the pivot holes for the clutch pedal are there (top for 6cyl, bottom for V8). However the clutch cable support bracket isnt there - you put that in when you bolt the clutch and brake pedals in.
