Hi all, Does anyone know of a purple metallic that HRs come in ?? Or a site that has colour swatches along with the codes ? Cheers, Steve.

There were no HRs in purple.

From memory, the first purple in the GM-H range would be on LC XU-1s in 1970.

my old man has a poster with a HR premier the he got from a dealer ship when his dad got his HR premier, , the HR on the poster was in a very light metallic purple. with a black vinyl roof, white walls and wheel trims.

Err Im confused then, my older brother had a 186S HR bought new and it was purple..very similar to the Amethyst Metalic on the HQs..

The colour i believe you mean is called Cordovan .
Pretty sure its not metallic though.
I do have all the HR colour chips around here somehwere .

Yea I think your right, I dont think it was metallic but it was purple...Trying to find a pic to post of it!

This is not his but a pic I found on the web (Rare Spares) of a HR in Cordovan.

yeah the purple or cordorvan was only on the last line of the hr i think i remember reding that there was only 13 odd of them and the block that owns the one pictured is off www.hdhrholden.com/

Thats a cool colour. Thanks for the pics. Ive decided on Phonecian Turquoise Met with a dash of course flake in it. The door jams will get their first coat tomorrow, almost 3 years re-build now. All done in the shed except for the engine. Very exciting times.
