Rank: Veteran Reputation: Groups: Moderator, Registered, Veteran Joined: 28/03/2008(UTC) Posts: 1,903		what the fudge does this stuff mean?...,single din? double din? i was just checking out head units,wow have they changed!(from the 70s lol) can we start a thread about whats good ,bad, and what some of this stuff is? even only if it's for me as i dont have a clue about this ever changing world of car entertainment and hopefully answer some other peoples questions on the way. i'll start...ive got...2 pioneer 160w 6" fronts 50w nominal 2 phillips 200w 6x9"rear 60w nominal 1 alpine sub 300w 12" 100w nominal 1 power amp sony xm 504x runs rear+sub(200rms) with a 50x4 pioneer head this sounds awesome ,but im changing the head unit for a newer one that plays mp3 and has a remote, thus enters the confusion!!wtf is,, single din,, double din stuff?ANYONE? A standard cd player type head unit is single din, a big one like toyota use or one with a tv screen which is twice as big as a single din unit is double din.
