Hello All,
I did ask this question quite a while ago, even rare spares wont help me not to mention other shops????
Surely there is someone else out there that has a clevo running a c10 auto with 4.11 diff ratio???
Im just trying to get my speedo to read correctly so that i dont get pinged by the boys in blue while out crusing.
As far as i can tell there is only 5 speedo gears available for ford green 17t, grey 18t, tan 19t, orange 20t and purple 21t which i believe is the one to use if you are running 3.50 ratio ass end.
That is what im currently using and speedo is out by around 20-30 KPH. Can anyone shed any light on how to get around this problem before i lose my licence.
Regards Sixx

Tricky. Wish I could help but I'd only be guessing. Have you tried phoning a auto gearbox or diff place and asking? Only place I can think of off the top of my head is Aussie diffs. They specialise in nine inch conversions so by rights should know. Their phone number is (07) 5598 3144. They are based in Queensland. Hope I'm not leading you down the garden path with this one. Only other thing I can suggest is getting the speedo recalibrated or follow a mates car and get them to travel at 40, 50, 60, etc and mark down what your speedo is reading so you'll know how fast you are really going.

i dont think they will make one that is suitable for such a high gear, i think the max they suit up to is about 3.5:1
you didnt mention what car its from? if your lucky enough to have a c10 behind a factory electronic dash you can calibrate them from the bottom of the speedo gauge, they have about 40% adjustment from memory

Hello Guys,
Car is a XD Fairmont - which is electronic dash cluster
I will have a look at a spare speedo in the shed and see if there is an adjusting screw or something.
Cheers for replies -

Hello Big Cav and everyone else,
Found it, Ive also found a 23 tooth black speedo gear for $20.00 to suit diff ratios from 3.50 - 4.11
There is an adjusting calibration screw in the back/top of the speedo. Hole might be covered by a small sticker. This screw can make your current speed reading change +/- about 40km/h.
Thanks for all your help peoples, ill use a navman whilst driving to get correct speed and calibrate.
Thanks again for everyones replie/ would not have found it without you!!!!!
Sixx
