G'day all, 52 yr old male here from sunny Brisbane. I work in the coal mines in Central QLD and need a hobby to keep me occupied when I'm home on my breaks...I work 15 days on and have 6 off. So, thanks to ebay, I have found this little gem...77 HX 308 5 speed (Mal Wood I think) ute in good nick, some rust, for $ 3500.00. Anyway, here are the pics before I commence work on it..will be a bit slow to start with as She Who Must Be Obeyed has advised I have to buy a shed before I start pulling it apart. No doubt I will be seeking advise on here as well. Neil Pics: http://gallery.oldholden.com/nevertooold58/

I know half a dozen guys who would love to get an ultimatum like that from SWMBO. Ute doesnt look too bad. Plenty of good bits like GTS guards and WB stato front. Those couple bits alone would cost a pretty penny if you had to source them seperately.

Gday Never,
With regard to the shed you get EVERYTHING done when it gets built! Power (hard wired, no extension lead), water, toilet, shower, lights, 3 phase (optinal), numerous power points including 15 amp ones and external ones, windows, hoist, spare keys. Anything and everything! Bulid the shed big! What ever you do dont let the shed builder convince you to do it later because it doesnt happen. Dont pay the final amount until you are happy with everything. Other than that build away and enjoy.

Thanks for both your comments... Regarding the shed...space is limited on the block so its going to be a double bay shed with car ports at front...for SWMBO to park under when it rains...LOL.

Thanks Bronson...
Still kicking myself to make sure im not dreaming...the price was $3500 and you dont buy many around for that. Savings will go towards a tidy up and getting the rust out..door sills and rear lower glass area. More pics to come with better close up shots..
