Hi, could anyone tell me more on the LC - LJ Diff codes? ( the part number is for the axle housing? )
This is what I have so far;
early LC & all LJ S, SL & GTR 3.08 unbaffled 2809395 DA code
1971 2.78 unbaffled 281072 DF code 1972 3.36 baffled XU-1 2823488 WM code ( till July 73 ) 1973 2.78 unbaffled 2810717 TF code ( Aug 73 ) 1973 3.36 baffled XU-1 9934111 XM code 23rd Aug on, Bathurst models.
I have only stated the ratios of these diffs because this is where I found them but, as these numbers are probably just for the housings these parts will likely double up for pairs of ratios as follows;
3.55 & 3.36 unbafled 3.08 and 2.78 unbaffled
3.55 & 3.36 ( maybe 3.9 too ) baffled XU-1 3.08 and 2.78 baffled XU-1 I am particularly interested to find out what the numbers are for the 3.08 or 2.78 fine spline Bathurst 73 XU-1 diff housing? If anyone can help I would be very appreciative?

See if you can find a production Broadcast sheet off someone with a Bathurst 1973 XU-1. It will have the 2 letter code on it for the diff.
