Hi,
I have a 2006 BF Auto Falcon, 75000km. The Transmission is fine, smooth changes etc. except when going up an incline. At 75-80kph there is a vibration throughout the car, similar to driving over corrugations. Change down either manually or accelerating to kick down and the vibration goes away. This is only when going up hill.
Any ideas as to what may be happening before I take it to an Autotrans. Mechanic.
Thanks in advance.
John.

Hi,
Its a 4 speed. I can have just myself or carry 4 passengers, on a level road its ok. Come to an incline, and Im not talking Mt Everest, the vibration kicks in between 75-80kph, the speed it wants to drop back a gear.
Any help appreciated.
John.

I think you'll find most 4spd BF's do it. Mine does it to but I note the rpm is very low and the load on the engine is not what I'd call moderate as it's been loaded up by a hill. IMO it's vibration from the engine labouring. I have read somewhere it maybe a torque convertor issue.
