frank do you know who used to put there coke cans in the xy sill befor they were welded on at the ford plant after smoko, the rumor is you know who it was?

funny you mention cans in sills, I saw a 72 celica at a workshop to get some rust in the sill fixed , they started grinding and more grinding trying to find metal. The sills was 5% metal the rest was beer bottles coke cans and even news paper bogged over needless to say the owner had to have smelling salts and a fan when they showed him.

I can see the point that if the customer wants a car with intact tags it's his money, it's not for anyone else to rubbish him for it, just as some people would cut up a mint body to make some radical rod, while others would value it original.
I had a guy chasing me for ages to sell him my 21 roadster he wanted to rod it.
I did not want to see it rodded, did not need the money, and was not trying to sell it, it was him chasing it, so I just refused to sell it to him. If I was sure he was going to keep original I might have sold it.
Yes I know he could have sold it to someone else and they might rod it, but thats life.
