bought a vk commodore today
and the plastic sides are starting to come off, so i pulled them off to find dirt any all that sorta stuff built up behind it, i want to put them back on as i didnt damage them taking them off , what sorta glue should i use and the best way to put them back on??

Sikaflex (curing urethane adhesive) will stick them back on permanently.
The tube goes in a caulking gun, like silicone.

The trick I use is similar to the factory fitment method used on the VLs - put a strip of double-sided tape along the top to help hold it straight & flat while the urethane sets - but also put liberal strips of masking tape over it and onto the door to hold it for 24 hours or so.
