Hi all, got onto a set of NOS SBC heads, the casting number is 3917293
The guy who has them is an ex GMH employee from back in the HKTG days.
He tells me they are heads of a HK 327. I googled the number and they come up as 1968 250hp 327 heads all right.

All my books tell me the number should be 3917290.

Details off the net are.
3917293 1968 327 250 1.72/1.50 75.340, identical to #3884520 except for combustion chamber change and addition of temperature sending boss.

I have no reasion to doubt the old boy and I know he worked at GMH and was involved in the race teams.

Question is has anyone seen these 293 heads on a HK 327.

Was thanked: 5 time(s) in 5 post(s)
These are the (low horsepower) 210HP 327 2 Barrell heads used on Camaros etc..

If he is an Ex GMH employee and they came from GMH here which is unlikely being that number , they should be in the GM wooden crates with a different part number which matches the parts book (and is not the casting number).

The other thing it could be a wrong supply from back then , hence being leftover parts . Who knows
