I have posted this here before ages ago, but the topic appears to have disappeared...
Anyway, my South African export 1972 XY Fairmont GT is still on the market...
she's all matching numbers, with both tags and shock tower number intact and matching, original engine... the car is originally Pearl Grey (now painted red), factory toploader,, with red interior (seats have just been retrimmed in original style and original set of red Fairmont GT door trims have been put on)... good set of globes with good tyres...
Car is in Darwin, NT regod and on the road ... I'll help with shipping etc, it's not that expensive getting stuff OUT of Darwin, unlike getting it in!)
She's got no rust to speak of (I assume it was an inland car), vinyl roof is in good nick... All of the trim, badging and
mouldings are there in good condition.... starts first time, doesn't blow smoke
I'm looking for $40,000 for her, but happy to listen to sensible offers...
Have the following itemsas well, which may go with the car depending on price...
A set of 4 original RSA made Gt standard rims
An as new set of Fairmont GT hubcaps (sourced form the US)
An original Autolite carbie
A very good red XY GT genuine steering wheel (one on the car is black and in average condition)
