I have a 5/72 gts 2door monaro,The question i have is it has the lion badges(premier type)fixed on the quarter panels between the quarter window and the back window,i was worried when i bought the car as they look like the LS badges but the vin said it was a GTS.The guy swears it was on the car when he bought it in 1975.Is this a option?
Cheers Greg

Someone may know better but I doubt a GTS would be fitted with an LS badge by the factory.

Hi, Not an option but an accessory. Holden offered accessories for personalising cars from day dot. One that makes several appearances from the late 1960s are these that you speak of. I have seen a few HQ GTSs with them over the years and also the paperwork that suggests that owners fit them to stand out from the crowd. An early HQ GTS had minimal badge work from the factory. It didn't have the word Monaro on the car anywhere.

I had an HK Kingswood with them, as DA said they were an accessory. They came and went on different models, but even if not to be fitted to some models dealers did.
