Gday all, After some info on wheel sizes on my hk prem. I have converted the front to hq disc and the back now has a commodore diff. a hq gts wheel fits over the hub aswell as a holden wb 12 slot on the commodore disc brake diff. i have been told that a hq wont fit commodore but from what im looking at it does it perfectly.also if anyone out there has done this to a k g or t what are the ideal sizes to buy front and back, and can anyone shed some light on the commodore/hq difference. i know this is probably a common question but looking thru this forum cant find the info. look very carefully and you will see that the studs aren't quite in the centre of the holes on the diff. Imperial vs metric here the difference is small, but enough to bend a high tensile part (stud)on tightening leading to eventual failure. 5x4.75 vs 5x120mm from memory. 4.75 inch = 120.65 millimetre so you can see the prob, not much in it but not worth losing a wheel on the freeway!! |

Have you tried an early commodore disk on the front?? Has anyone?? Will the HQ calipers mate to them? I know the VS ones dont. |

Yes or the HT ones... i was lead to believe that they are all alike, but i'll defer to the knowlege base. I had a Ht with HQ disks and calipers a few years back and it worked a treat.... just get the surface rust off (if any) for the first breaking attempt... it's pretty severe!!! The VK commodore disk uses the same bearings too and it seemed to go on OK last weekend, i just dont have a caliper to see if that fits as well. Brian |

Just contact Hopper Stoppers and get a set of HQ discs drilled with the commodore stud pattern.
That way you will have Commodore all round and that you give you a wider choice of wheels.
