I am looking at buying a HT premier for a parts car and it has it's original 186s and trimatic (both running). Missing it's original carby and air cleaner. What would this be worth?

An original 186S HT Premier is a valuable car to start with if it is any good. WOuld be worth much more as a complete car.

They want $1500 for the car but it has rust in the plenum (along edge where it meets bonnet), inside left rear subframe leg (almost completely gone), driver's doors, right hand rear quarter (above stainless moulds), left rear quarter at bottom and also above stainless mouldings, bottom of both front guards although not real bad here and small amount rear windscreen. Well that's all I could see. Few pieces missing (drivers door card, woodgrain surround for heater). Hard to judge without photos but do you think it would be worth the money?

As a parts only car maybe not. Greg at Classicozwreck would have a better handle on wrecking value. But my guess is i'd easily fetch that on Ebay if it is an original 186S Premier.

Thanks for your assistance. I will talk with the people tomorrow and see if they will budge a bit, although I don't like my chances. The current owners have had it from almost new and I believe still have all the original books etc. Hoepfully Greg from Classic Oz Wreck will see this and reply.
