Don't even bother. They are close on 50 years old now and rooted. I have broken more than I care to count over the years.

Go to your closest speed shop and order a set of moser axles. They have a lifetime warranty and are much better than the original junk. Plus they are around the same price as buying secondhand ones. Around $700 a pair.

Thanks, this sounds like the best advice I could get. Is there only one spline, or is there anything else i need to check before I order these?

Regards

I took an old axle in with me. But as soon as they saw it they knew exactly what it was out of, and they just ordered them and I picked them up a few weeks later.

You would hope that most places that do these axles would know exactly what you wanted. But if you have an axle, or bits from a broken one, take them with you.
