Hi guys, without log books for reference, how would one tell if the engine is the original one that came out from the factory?
I know for Toranas there is a vin disc with most egine numbers matched to vin numbers but i cant find anything on early Monaros.
Again your help is needed.

There isn't a vin disc, it is a scan of a printout of GMH's Service/Warranty records for LC/LJ. The engine that was in the car at the 1000kM service (or whatever it was called) is recorded, but only for cars that went back to a GMH servicing centre/dealer for this service. These records are not known to exist for HK-HG. You best bet is to PM the vehicle's details to me and i'll ask for you, there is enough cars on the Holden Monaro Register now to tell you if the engine isn't original for the car. |
