I have a 72 model with the orange bolb. I am unsure if this is the original.
The parker have been wired up to work through the front indicators rather then the headlights.

This was discussed on the HQ SS forum a while ago and it looks like the flat white lenses were factory fit lenses and the white domed ones are a Holden replacement part item. HQ Sandman. The orange indicator type set up was introduced in Late December 1972 so if your Q is from that time frame they are correct. I do have the actual vin number starting point for each plant if you want to verify if yours should have them or not. Cheers Paul.

When I repaint mine, I will let you know the build date etc. The compliance plate has so many coats on it, it is unreadable.
I definelty have a 72 model though.
