Holden seat belts reproduced? any good?

Hi all, any one used or can tell me anything good or bad about the seat belts which have been reproduced by a company called Parts Cloner? How do they compare quality wise to those re-cond by Autoluxe (formerly Monaro Muscle Parts) reproduced vs reconditioned?? http://www.ebay.com.au/i...trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

From what I have heard and seen, they put a huge amount of effort into there products and are usually better finished and engineered then the original part. |

i saw a set of sandlewood remade ones in a HT monaro @ busselton 2 weeks ago & they're fraying near th buckle already. only been used for cuppla months!!! owners are gun pull em out & fit a/market black retractable ones & keep others for show only regards DD www.bellarineclassicautos.com.au

PS. they were recoed buckles & tounges from melbourne with new webbing

Were those belts and buckles that were fraying after a couple months from Parts Cloner Dave ? |

No, they could'nt of been. Parts Cloner'belts have just come on to the market. They dont do Sandalwood.........yet. |

i wonder whats going to happen to all these so called seat belt mobs .just look whats happening to rare spares with there hubcaps and there nothing to do with safety |

I just had my WB's front belts rewebbed by Seat Belt Solutions in WA. Quick turn-around, just over a week. The webbing is not identical but not miles away from it. A good job and they kept me informed about where they were up to with the job. Only criticism is that I supplied them with a replacement buckle retaining clip(one had broken off) and they fitted one of their own, doesn't look like the Holden one. In two minds whether I could be bothered trying to get it changed.
This mob seem to be the only ones I could find that certify their work as meeting Australian Standards.
I have noticed that there are ebay sellers flogging off original pattern seat belt webbing, I suppose you could buy that stuff and send it with your old belts to Seat Belt Solutions to be re-done. How do you tell that originsl webbing meets the relevant standards though? All too hard for me so I just went with the current webbing as supplied.

I agree with Simon they look very very good to me but I would like to see them in the flesh before I say perfect .

They are the best bar none. Check out the green houndstooth trim! My seat belts came from these guys as did the interior trim. They are Muscle Car Motor Trimmers who do work second to none. The HQ sun visors are another awesome product they do and have sold to Rare Spares Brisbane in the past. I don't think you will find anything even close to these guys.
