Just letting the holden guys out there, I had my steering uni disc go on my HQ down near the power steering box. I had replaced it 6-7 years ago with a neoprene replacement which now I think how stupid. Lucky I had just come out of a winding section and straightened up so no steering and came to a rest on a grass section just short of a power pole. I would recommend everyone replace this item if in neoprene as its not worth the risk for such a item that moves and twists so much. Cheers

Glad all was well. But the discs, in standard form, have a pair of pins that engage so that if the disc fails, you'll still have steering.
BTW, I put a a urethene/Nolothane one on my HQ & ended up ditching it. Too much vibration through the steering wheel. I kept it being the horder I am, and it was an exact fit onto my Buick.
No vibtation issue either. |
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right. |
