Having problems finding the engine number on a 351 cleveland, in a 1971 ford mustang. looked in all places, no where to be found. please help!!

on an Aussie motor it's too the top right / right hand side of the timing cover facing towards the side of the car, May need to clean up paint there though I'd it's been re sprayed

sometimes a clevo will get stamped in the wrong place. Being an American one I've seen them stamped where they stamp Windsors. If you cant find it where Cav says look on the block below the back of the head on the drivers side. If the motor is in the car you are going to need a mirror, roo dazzling bright torch light, a rubber neck and excellent eye sight.
