Have a 74 Statesman that I am considering fitting stock rims and statesman wheel trims to. Have sourced some silver coloured rims from a HX statesman.

Couple of questions.

What colour were the original rims on 74 Statesmans?

Paint or powder coating better?

Would having the rims painted black be marked down when the car is entered in stock category for judging?

Thanks in advance for info/comments

HQ Statesman rims were black,
the wheel trim and hupcap cover all the rim and the only time you see black is on the spare tyre in the boot which should have a spare tyre cover on it.
