Hi,
wondering if anyone can help me out. Every now and then, the oil light in my dash comes on as the oil pressure drops, this only ever occurs in drive and when stopped at the lights, if i put it into netrual or park it does not come on. I had it recently serviced because it used to always come on but it has only done it once since i had it serviced. Does anyone know why it could be coming on. The car seems to be running perfect and there is plently of oil in it, it doesn't burn oil or leak oil either, Thanks, Regards, Brian

Or you could take the globe out of the light. Why is it people suspect a faulty gauge when it says something we dont like? thats its job. I have always found them to be 100% reliable, and accurate!

A Ford dealer (or enigine specialist) should be able to test the oil pressure for you. This seems to be really common with the Fords, both sixes and eights. I have seen and know of heaps that do have done it. It could in part depend on the quality and gra
