anyone know where I can find pictures of early ford anti-tramp bars to buy and how they fit etc do the mounts on top of the diff face forward or backwards

They go on top of the diff with the saddle between the U bolts and the diff. I am pretty sure the verticle bar from the mounting plate leans towards the back and the long shaft bolts to the rail on the body just in front of the diff. My Landau has them so

LTD are LONGER due to the longer wheelbase

xa are different to xb. xa had a bracket bolted to the chassis that the rod bolted to. xb's just had a bolt through the chassis and rod. xa was staighter the xb's had a "s" bend in them. the bracket on the diff was the same. this was not welded

hey thanks can you send pictures, we have the it that clamps onto the u bolts but need to know where the other end attaches, have never seen it so it's hard to know whatt we're looking for, you can email us at [email protected]

I think I have a set of XB ones because they have the S bends. Do you have a pic of these attached to the chassis rail?? I want to put them on my XC. They have been sand blasted and fitted with new eurethane bushes. They are in getting 2 packed at the mom

Bill, the xc's with the 351 and manual box had a tramp rod fitted to the passenger side only. i've only ever seen one at a wrecker with the wheel removed and it looked identical to the ones on my xb gt. i think the shape between xa/b was different to allo

I think some auto XCs had them as well (Police cars??) I have seen a bracket for sale that attaches to the floor (I think) that bolts through the front bush.
