My donor car is a hq V8 and has factory air and power steering,I thought that seens i am transferring all the running gear to my hz one tonner that the factory air would be nice to have.Will the under dash components fit under the hz dash in place of the original heater box.

It will all fit you need to change the temp/fan switch and vacuum hoses too. Try to get a more modern compressor maybe off a VK or so. The Q has a different piping system to the J, the dash is a different shape. Good idea to do while you have the engine o

Also it's a big fine if you release the old gas into the atmosphere. You have to get a air con guy to catch it. You will need one to regas it so get him to do the whole job. Of course if the car is a wreck the gas has probably leaked out through the broke
