Hi, I'm currently living in New Zealand and I am looking at relocating to Brisbane. We currently own an original mint condition 1973 HQ GTS/4 Monaro and don't really want to part with it but would like to bring it to OZ. Can anyone tell me what the laws are in OZ regarding bringing in a vehicle from another country and what costs are involved. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sunny

Your situation is a little bit different from the usual imports as you are bringing an Australian built vehicle back into the country.I suggest you contact two sectors of the road systems. The first would be the QLD road authorities about registration req

To register the car here inBrisbane it will have to comply with the ADRs of the time. therefore you might ahve to Australian it. But I doubt there would be any differences between a NZ built HQ and an Aussie one, except for the Aussie compliance plate.
