hi all my friend has a 179 in a eh the engine number has a "N S" at the start can any 1 tell me what this means??

Pretty sure it means the engine block has been replaced and police issued new numbers.

The new engine numbers only went on blank blocks. If you can see half ground out numbers most likely someone has done a half-arsed attempt to conceal the original numbers. If you can see it so can the authorities and the first time you get pulled over for
