Still trying to solve this one, has any body heard of this being done ? If it is done what would it do to the guts of your motor ? Apparently its to raise octaine. :-/

There is an article in last month's Street Machine (page 168) about the best street fuel. Tests supposedly revealed that BP Ulimate (PULP) mixed with Nulon pro strength octane booster gave the best high octane fuel - it supposedly bettered BP100 and Avgas

Red acetone....the stuff that plumbers use to join PVC pipe together.... used to be used to disguise avgas as super (leaded) pump fuel years ago....
turns the avgas red in colour...

it is cheaper than fuel so servo's add it to lower there cost price per litre.
there are rules on how much can be safely added, and servo's do get fined now for exceeding these.
some independent ones may still break the rules though.

search..... OCTANE BOOSTER.....and you will find the formula to produce it yourself....

The use of adding "stuff" into the fuel we are using, is done for a few reasons. (1) to boost profits of those buying or supplying fuel, incl the Govt.
(2) it will make the engine run poorer, so your MPG goes down, so you have to buy more fuel, therefor
