i want to put a chev 454 big block into a xf ute. has this been done before?

why the **** would you put a 454 in an XF whe nyou can get a 460 and the mounts are more readily available , rare spares will have the mounts you need though

Big block, big heat, you'll spend the rest of your life trying to keep it cool. Buy some plantium plugs you dont want to ever change plugs again ($20 a pop though). Big weight on your front end dont forget to change those ball joints, bushes + control arm

im new to cars in general,at the moment im playing with a mildly worked 5 liter in a vl commodore<dont ask i love the shape>its become a toy and i want a bigger badder v8,im considering a 383 stroker kit ?but maybe a worked 350 will satisfy my thirs
